Hi! I'm Megan LaCore. I'm a California-native multimedia artist who currently lives in San Jose, CA with my husband Mark and our 3 furry friends, our kitties Dizzy, Kesa, and Cheddar. I'm an art student, a craft and environmental enthusiast, a web developer, and I work both as a hair stylist and a Master Artistic Educator for the hair-industry company Matrix. A bit of a mouthful, I know, but I like to keep myself active. I've been published in Bust Magazine's Dec2009/Jan2010 issue, have participated in eco- and craft-workshops and fairs, and in February 2011 ran my first half marathon! I eat as much organic and local food as possible, like the outdoors, and always have something fun right around the corner.
My husband Mark, a systems engineer by day, is the technical brains behind most of our web operation. He plays guitar for fun, and is interested in network security and open-source operating systems. He also runs his own websites, including Supercars.com and NerdyMark.com.
Together, we own and operate HomeGrown HandCrafted.
HomeGrown HandCrafted's mission is to provide information and create a community dedicated to environmental choices, home life, handcrafted goods, and art.
Our goal is to offer helpful input to like-minded people, including web postings, articles, reviews, podcasts, recipes, and other fun or useful information.
We hope to make connections with thoughtful, driven, and inspired people like you, and encourage you to make HomeGrown HandCrafted a part of your social and informative network.
We look forward to interacting with you, and thanks!
<3,
Megan
